LCI and Stantec (Atlassian Consortium) are excited to announce their involvement in Atlassian’s plan to build the world’s tallest hybrid timber building development in Sydney, NSW.

The proposed 40 storey building boasts a ground-breaking timber design, with a glass and steel façade. The mix of outdoor and indoor spaces will use an energy-efficient approach featuring natural ventilation with large planted terraces giving access to nature.

Within the partnership, the Atlassian Consortium will deliver engineering services for the project, working collaboratively to share disciplines and embed cross-challenge bipartisanship. This cohesive single team and governance structure enables team members to challenge each other to produce the best project outcome.

Providing Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Level 3 ASP Design, Hydraulic Engineering, Fire Services, ESD, Acoustic Engineering, Lighting Design, Security Engineering, ICT/AV Design, Vertical Transport Design and BIM Management, the Atlassian Consortium will bring this extraordinary design to life.

Working on Atlassian’s 'world first design is a once-in-career opportunity.  We are thrilled to be part of the team delivering such a dynamic and transformative building for today’s and tomorrow’s communities,” said Keith Ryan, Principal at Stantec

Lester Partridge, Director of LCI shares his excitement about this milestone project. “We are thrilled to be part of a design that is going to transform Sydney’s city scape for ever.  Our combined team approach will generate superior results for the project, with the best minds in engineering challenging each other to achieve the desired outcome.

The building will be Atlassian’s Sydney headquarters, house thousands of technology workers and is set for completion in 2025. The project will pursue exceptional sustainability aspirations through innovation climate concepts, construction and building operations.
