Duncan Street Aged Care

LCI provided MEP, ESD and Lift services to Duncan Street Aged Care, the proposed 120-bed 4-storey nursing home located in the urban area of Victoria Park. The form and materials used for this development has been inspired by the locality of Victoria Park aesthetics.

The Aged Care key vision and philosophy include:

• Community
• Nature and light, and
• Care philosophy for the occupants.

The site will include a café, hair salon, kitchen and dining areas and roof top terrace. There will also be a play area giving the residents opportunities for intergenerational interaction programs with the adjacent school and community.

For the BP Issue, LCI worked closely with the Art Specialist and Lighting Consultant to create the ‘artwork’ at the front of the building. The three facades have incorporated lighting strips to replicate shooting stars and raindrops which is fully controllable by the Client.
