Epworth Freemasons Hospital

Completed in 2020, the $60 million Epworth Freemasons redevelopment consists of the new Grey Street Centre and Albert Street Car park. The project improved access, layout, and parking for patients and visitors by creating a new ground floor main entrance along Albert St.

The 15-month long operation replaced aging apartments with a 300 space underground car park and multi-story precinct with 360-degree views. On top of 2,500sqm consulting space, the expansion includes­­ additional 4 operating theatres, a day oncology unit, 12 inpatient beds, and centres for clinical trial and simulation training.

The works were required to be staged to enable commissioning and decommission of a major plant while keeping the hospital operating.
