LCI provided the PV modelling and feasibility analysis for the 220kW light weight PV arrange for the Australian National Maritime Museum. Our role was to maintain a feasibility design, review and advisory role for the Australian National Maritime Museum.
The feasibility prepared by LCI recommended consideration of Thin Film arrays in lieu of Flat Panel arrays to offset energy use from the Wharf 7 building. The ANMM is currently embarking on the installation of the lightweight photovoltaic arrays to the roof of the Wharf 7 building to serve the base building load and ANMM tenancy loads.
The modelling feasibility assessment was undertaken to inform the business case for the installation which is currently being installed. The design outcome allowed the ANMM to increase its PV roof array to be increased in capacity from 17.2kW using a standard PV panel array system to 220 kW using the innovative thin panel array without any structural upgrade.
