As part of the 10 year CDP ( Capital Development Plan) a number of buildings built in late 60’s and early 70’s were to be redeveloped and remodelled to align with the University’s direction and strategy for Teaching, Learning, Training , Research and Collaboration. The spaces include lecture theatres, tutorial rooms, academic offices, research offices, teaching and research wet and dry labs, interactive spaces , cool rooms, break-out and containment spaces.
LCI was initially engaged to undertake engineering feasibility studies to upgrade the existing buildings including additions to site wide infrastructure including:
- Limitations of existing ring main systems including Co-generation system
- High Temp Hot Water
- Electricity Supply
- Fire Services
- Addition of Absorption Chillers
- Reliability Enhancement
- Main Plant Renewal
- Removal of Hazardous Material
After completion of the feasibility studies and business case, LCI was engaged to undertake the design and documentation of engineering services for PS3 and RBAR under two separate engagements. The engineering services included.

- Hydraulics
- Fire Protection
- Vertical Transportation
- AV Systems
The PS3 project delivery included infrastructure package, enabling works package and building fit-out.
